I just called but its friday 751pm everythings closed and wont be open till monday morning. Here the number I called 1800-680-6866 Ext 8996.

This is the number from the first post of this Thread. His name is Jon. It would be nice if everyone on this forum would call him and ask about the 10round mags.

Enough calls might actually make them move or at least give us more info.

Like I said these mags are not for me. But, for those who want this weapon but live in $h!++y states.

Oh And we cant forget about his email!!! jyacapraro@springfield-armory.com

I frequent California and would like to legally take my XDM there so I emailed Springfield about the 10 round mag to make it legal and this is the response I received.

Unfortunately, the XD(m) will not be submitted for California approval. This is because the magazine disconnect and loaded chamber indicator will never be to the DOJ standards.
Thank you for your interest in Springfield !

Seems like the post and reply from Springfield (right above your post) states it all.... seems pretty clear from what they wrote back.

I guess buy a different gun for California carry... Springfield will not be upset... they made a marketing decision when they imported the XDM into the US to not meet the needs of the California market.

The guy from SA didn't read your email correctly. He responded to why you can't buy the XD-M new from a dealer in CA. He didn't address the magazine issue at all. You can legally own the gun here by other means, so the magazine issue is a genuine problem for SA customers.

Got an answer today:
Good Afternoon James,

Thank you for your email.
At this time there have been no new developments as far as the 10 round XD(M) mags becoming available. There was talk awhile back that it may be happening but we haven’t heard anything lately.
Please feel free to keep checking with us regards to this concern.

Thank you and enjoy your day!

In Kalifornia we can buy disassembled kits and then assemble them to permanantly hold only 10 rounds. the kit is shipped in pieces. there are various ways to convert to 10 rounds. search Calguns.net for more info.

also if we owned other hi cap mags before the ban we can keep them and repair them with new parts. in cali its not illegal to onw a hi cap. only to sell one, manufacture, or import etc.

I legally purchased my XDM 40 here in California due to the fact that I was a deputy at the time. Due to a medical problem, I am no longer in law enforcement, but still own the gun. I to would like to see SA manufacture 10 round mags so I can go to the range and shoot "legally". So far I have had no problems taking my hi-cap mags to the range, but then again no one has asked either. I sent an e-mail to SA also, but have not heard back yet.
