Decisions decisions...

I have been eyeing the XDM black on black .40 for some time now and had planned on buying it middle of this week, well, on a local gun forum some guy is selling his used (Yeah, I know) XDM.40 bi-tone for 500, comes with three mags, all the gear, etc.

Should I buy new from the store or save about 150 and buy used? I know the ultimate decision is mine, jsut wanted to see what you think. Also, I would rather get a black on black, but saving 150 is nice.

Buy the new gun from the shop. I like my black on black. I am just not a buy it used type guy. This is probably the same reason I cannot golf as everyone wants me to buy used clubs.

If you already have the money for the black one i would go with it. I have never been a fan of the stainless. Too flashy for me.

I think this will be one of those things that you may regret later. Put the money aside and be honest with yourself. If you like the stainless just as much as the black then go for it, although i dont think you would be posting this thread if you did think that way.

BLACK BLACK BLACK

Can't speak from personal experience....

....but the owner of a local gun shop told me that black handguns do much better on the resell market. He's a crusty older fellow that's been around guns for many years. I would tend to trust his word on this issue and a lot more.

I have heard the same from my local gun shop owner.

Well, the gun sold, so that solves that. Thanks for the input guys.

You may want to check on the warranty on a used gun. Some warranties only cover the original gun owner. Then the lifetime warranty will not apply to you.

That is another reason I did not want to buy it. This is the first gun I will buy and I want to do it the right way. I just don't like the idea of a used gun.

If you really feel that way, then dont get the used gun for sure! Buy a new one and you will be much happier with your decision!
