Since I have been a member here, and with all the research I have done and by reading eveyone else's comments, it is the norm to NOT get the sights back.

If James is sending you some , it is above the call of duty.

Why not call some other dealers and see what they say.

Not if it was agreed upon before he sent him his slides it isn't above anything. Since he's sending him some now, he's holding his end of the deal that was agreed upon. What does it matter what other dealers do? We aren't talking about other deals made with other dealers. If you asked for your old sights back from a different dealer prior to giving slides to them, you would still expect them back if those were the terms.

I've got nothing against either of them, but you can't fail to mention that this is also a bitchaboutmiamiTJ trying to get the other party to uphold their end of a deal thread.

On a different note, I'm surprised it hasn't been locked or deleted yet since all we're doing in it anymore is bickering amongst ourselves with no relevancy to the actual issue at hand which has already been resolved.

This thread hasn't cost Ajames any of my business; I know to whom my XD is going if it ever needs a Duracoat or new sights installed: Ajames. Who else has more experience specifically with Duracoating XDs? I submit: nobody.

I highly doubt james would have said that you would get your factory sites back fully knowing that they get either mangled or destroyed in the process of removing them.
