My VERY bad experiance with James ...
Im giving up getting this resolved -- So I think Its time to post my experience so others may learn form it...
I sent James 2 slides for sight install a couple months ago. He told before hand that the turnaround would be less than a week. About a week later I emailed him and asked for a tracking number, I got no response within a couple of days so I called. He had told me he thought they were already shipped back but to call back the next day and he would be able to check. The next day I called and was told that they were in his safe waiting to be installed but he was running late and they would be installed and shipped before the end of the week -- this was on a Wednesday. Friday I emailed him and asked for a tracking number, again no response. Monday I called and left a message, again no call back. Wednesday I called back and he told me that he still had them and he was running really behind and that he would get it out before the week's end. I called back Friday and was then told that he ran out of sights and that he would be getting in the replacements before the end of next week and that AGAIN he would get them out to me ASAP. Wednesday comes along and I call him and he tells me that the slides had shipped and to call back Thursday for a tracking number. Thursday I call, and leave a message. Friday I called and left another message and Friday afternoon I call again and get him on the phone. He tells me they shipped early in the week and I should have them Saturday. Saturday the slides get to me house. NEXT DAY AIR. They did not ship till Friday. James flat out lied. I don't like to be lied too. It took over a month for me to get my slides back -- but the problems did not end there. James installed defective sights on my pistol. One of the sets had no finish. That's right, they had no paint! They were reddish brown in color and not black like the others. I was not being picky, they looked really bad and obviously had an issue. James also did not return my old sights. I had specifically asked for them back. I called and emailed James several times about the issue, he never responded. I ultimately sent the sights/slide back to Tru-Glow and they agreed they were defective and replaced/installed the new sights and had my slide back to me in less than a week. Im still willing to get this resolved James if you ever decide to make things right. At the very least, I want my old sights back. Until then I will BTT this thread within site rules.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time I've heard people having issues with James. That's too bad.

Sorry about the bad experience...but thanks for keeping us informed. Inexcusable, IMO. Perhaps there's another side...but it's really hard to think of an explanation.

I wonder what the other side of the story is. My dealings with James have been positive, and his work has been excellent.
