some Duracoat and TFO questions

1. I want to have James to a duracoat on my xd40 slide. I'm trying to pick the color. What is the most popular? I'm wanting to go black, and I'm thinking either the matte black, but I also saw combat black. Does anyone have the combat black?

2. I also want to get TFOs put on. I know I've seen threads with pictures of the TFOs installed. Does anyone have the link? Do these sights interfere with the Crossbreed holsters at all?

3. If I buy all of this online, do I then just ship my slide to James with a copy of my order? What is the estimated turn around time if I were to send it in this week? The reason I'm asking, is that I'm moving in a little over a month and I'm trying to decide if I can send it in now or if I need to wait till I get back to school.

Sorry for the bombardment of questions. Thank you in advance.

I can Only answer nnumber 2; TFO sights are freaking Awesome!!! and they work well with leather and Kydex holsters.

I called a couple times today, but kept getting a recorded message. I'll try again and I'll leave a message this time, but I'm practically impossible to get ahold of between 6 am and 6 pm because of my job.

So ajames just emailed me and I'm pretty sure I know what I want to go with now. Do I just buy everything online, and then send the slide in with the invoice? Any recommendations of how to ship? I'd like to purchase it tonight and have it in the mail tomorrow. Thanks.

I'm not sure, but I did want to chime in and say that I met James the other day when I dropped my slide off to him for the same treatment. Duracoat in black and install TFO's on it. From our conversation, he said you have to wait a couple of days to let the duracoat cure before you can install the sites, but once they are installed he will have them on their way back to you pretty quickly. I dropped mine off and he said it would be back to me in about a week to a week and a half. That's pretty quick. Also, I know that he is working a new job, and said he is doing the work at night and in his spare time, so that is probably the reason for the recorded message. He'll get back to you very quickly on any e-mails.
