I have an XD40 and I'm having some issues with the Powder River Precision kit. I did install it myself and I'm pretty confident with my mechanical skills. The gun fires the first 11 rounds just fine and then doesn't fire the final round. It does after pressing the palm safety and trigger safety several times and then randomly fires. I have attempted it with all 4 of my magazines and the same issue happens. The round loads just fine but the sear doesn't seam to release the striker. I'm curious as to what might be causing this and if anyone had any advice. I'm ruling out magazine issues for now. I even load two rounds in each magazine and then attempt to fire the last shot and it doesn't fire, so it is definitely a last round issue. Please Help!

I did get to test the XD after sanding off some more of the Over Travel Stop and still the same issue occurs. When I smack the gun on the side it then allows me to fire the final round. The sear doesn't really move at all when I am on the malfunctioned round and I don't see how the over travel could be the issue. But I did shave off some more and I'll check it next weekend to see if the issue is resolved. I PRAY IT IS!! I am so accurate with that gun and I don't want to be frustrated anymore. Thanks for all who have or had any advice.

Is the overtravel stop in your kit the one built into the trigger, or is it the separate piece that sits next to the trigger bar inside the body? Is it like the first or second link?

The over travel stop that comes with the Powder River Kit is a separate plastic piece that you have to sand down to properly fit the gun. Also I have another xd40 with no trigger kit and the trigger bar also moves down and disengages the sear group but only when I push on it. It doesn't do what the other XD40 is doing while shooting though. The trigger bar on both do the same thing but the one with the trigger kit moves easier than the one without the kit. I still can't figure out what is causing the trigger bar to move down and make the trigger pull non-functional.

All I know is that when the trigger is pulled my sear actually moves more than my unmodified XD40 so id definitely say that I shaved off enough of the Overtravel. If you know the gun real well then maybe you could know what I'm referring to about the trigger bar. Its quite easy to be pushed in the downward direction and the trigger bar area that attaches to the sear disengages and doesn't move the sear. it's about twice as easy to move than the XD without the kit. If you notice there is a part of the trigger bar that sticks up higher than the frame and there is a notch carved out of the slide that gives the trigger bar room to move. i don't see why it is necessary. Most of my other guns don't have a lifted trigger bar like that. I was thinking about filing it down a bit. Your advice would be amazing.
