The trick to gettin the super-shallow top is temperature. It has to be just right. If its too cool itll just clump and miss it, if its too warm it'll melt. If you get it just right it packs in and looks great. I'm bettin on it'll come off with hard use/heat cycling, we'll see

My top-shallow embelem was tough too. Did it 3-4 times before I was happy with it. I got mine more liquid than solid, covered it and polished the excess off with printer paper & gun oil. Then would heat up what was left and polish some more. Finally got it suitabe for now. May touch up again down the line somewhere.

Not sure what the difference was. After that trip when I was cleaning the gun that night it all pretty much was coming out, so I cleaned it all out. Since then I'd have it duracoated and I may go back and do it with the lacquer stik.
Gravity, maybe? Not being snotty, just an observation.
