Has anybody removed the striker safety from the xds?

This is a discussion on Has anybody removed the striker safety from the xds? within the XD Gunsmithing and Maintenance forums, part of the XD Talk category; I am wondering if anybody has done this yet? If so, how did you do it without damaging it or the gun. Thanks...

Has anybody removed the striker safety from the xds?
I am wondering if anybody has done this yet? If so, how did you do it without damaging it or the gun.

It's not coming out permanently. Just having an issue with the gun and want to inspect it. I already got an answer and took it out, inspected and put it back in.

I know the safety is there for a reason. I like lots of safeties on my carry guns, they are a good thing, LOL.
