I just lub them with CLP. Guess I'm lazy or believe the same way as Brian Enos, clean them when they stop working. BTW the Sig has never ever malfunction at all my XDM same but it only has 3000 rounds.

Cheap Grease

Never had a malfunction or problem.
Cheap Oil??? Oh, say hello to rust in a high humidity or salt air environment. For example, popular cheap oil like Rem Oil is one notch above worthless for preventing rust in that type of environment.

I ended up using frog lube and and very impressed by this stuff. It dissolves residue and deposits like nothing.
