Dont oil inside your striker housing that needs to stay dry.

A generality is to grease what slides and oil what rotates. However XDs and polymer guns are incredibly reliable. Clean off the feed ramp and barrel and remove any large carbon deposit and it should run.

to add to this,
the first time you use your weapon it will become apparent whats needing lube by the wear marks that develop.

also I lightly grease the AK rotating bolt taking care to not goo the striker and it runs good.

Is the 4oz kit plenty or should I opt for the 8oz? I'll shoot probably once a week maybe less. I will most likely clean it every time. Just not sure how far it gets you

Small to see if you like it. If so, get the large when it's time to refill.

Just bought the frog cpl, so we will see how I like it. From what I read it hasn't had any negative feedback. I'm going to try to find a borscope local but probably won't be able to

This wont hurt your gun but will fill your dishwasher with petroleum and lead. Things you might want to keep away from your cooking and eating utensils .

I just got the M-Pro7 tactical universal kit with some Q tips, just need to get a bore snake to complete the cleaning.

I have a couple bore snakes. But I still end up running a brush thru it anyway. I just worry that its not getting clean
