those look great. you should keep this thread going and show how they hold up with use. I'd be interested to see how the finish holds up.

Agree! XD/XDm's mags are great, although the shiny ss is not the most tactical thing. I would be happy if they make'm with a matte ss finish at least or dark gray!

Yes, I just did a shotgun barrel for a Ithaca 37 I am refinishing in sniper grey. The accessories are in black and I intend to do my XD45 mags in the same finish.
If you are interested, look at this nic industries link for comparisons to other finishes.

The mags are not painted completely on the inside. I did paint as deep as practical one each end.
This is a spray on process using a HPLV gun and an epoxy paint.

Have not been on in a while. Just finished my Ithaca Model 37 shotgun and my XD45 magazines. The shotgun is 62 years old and had not been shot for 40 years. Color is sniper grey for the barrel and receiver, Black for the accessories and a Choate stock.
The Cerakote was easy to apply and is wearing very well. Let me know what you think.

I really like that OD on the mags, I think that looks really sharp. I might do that to some of my own mags.
