I'm new to any modifications on my xdm, so my question is what would changing the stock striker to a SS striker by PRP do to my xdm ?

The PRP pin punch set is nice to have

They're nicely made, but won't do everything needed on the gun. I just bought the striker replacement pins and punch set in the same order, and had to buy a separate 3/32 punch from Home Depot to do the pin replacement job. The small diameter is too small, the medium is too large.

The striker retainer pin is a must. It's a much stronger and robust rolled spring design instead of the cheap factory split pin.

This is a necessity the rest of that stuff not so much.

I have the SS guide rod in my XDm 45 and love it. It looks great and make the muzzle a bit heavier. I also put on new striker retainer pins last weekend (the old ones looked perfectly fine when I took them out) just in case.

I have the ultimate trigger kit on order and a local gunsmith lined up to install - I have big hopes.

I don't know if you're sending you pistol to them or just buying the parts, but I have the exact same pistol as you, and sent it to them.

They did many of the mods you have listed, plus the Ultimate Match trigger job at 2.5 pounds, but my favorite mod might just be the competition grip stipple and trigger guard relief.

Not enough is said about the importance of a good grip on the gun, and the stippling, thus far, has been nothing short of magical.

Just another thing to think about

Great information, thanks. Got a picture?

Can you PM me what you paid for all that (if you don't mind)
