Frog Lube - striker pin area?

I got my order of Frog Lube (same day they anounced new and better frog lube). Anyway, should i avoid the striker pin as I do with oil?

NEW question, after how many rounds should the striker pin thing be taken apart and lubed?

Never lubricate the striker area.

Rather than disassembling, why not just rinse it out with 92% alcohol or with cleaner/degreaser that is proven to not leave a residue?

I think a big problem is that so many people are using an all-in-one CLP product that the thought of using a cleaning-only product doesn't even enter their mind.

Do not, I repeat, NOT lube the striker pin or channel. Any type of oil or grease attracts dirt and will soon clog the channel, possibly creating light strikes and misfires. Clean the pin and channel thoroughly and wipe completely DRY. Run it like this, you will not damage your gun by doing so.

What if you accidently get some in there.. how do you get it out? The "channel" is the hole the pin is in?

The channel is the tube the striker rides in, you're referring to the firing pin hole. Flush this out with a cleaner like Tri-Care, then blow it dry with a can of compressed air. Use a Q-tip to wipe out the channel.
