Light trigger after 25 cent trigger polish
Hi all, new member here. I followed the trigger polish thread prior to joining and after reassembling the gun the trigger is awesomely smooth but the lightness of the trigger concerns me. Anyone feel this way with their trigger polish job?

Possibly polished off a bit too much metal off each part?? Can't tell from the pics but it looks like you polished it substantially on the second picture all over the top too, so not saying that is your problem, but it could be.

If you removed metal from the sear and changed the angle of the parts, then, yes you need to be concerned about ND!

You guys have me worried. I didn't do any sanding, all I used was the polishing material. Anyone know where I can get the factory replacement sear, ejector, ans striker safety lever?

If you lightly polished each part with fine compound i think the parts have the same geometry. If you polished them for extensive periods of time you could remove too much material.

thanks for the input. I'm going to compare mine to a stock on this weekend and also measure the trigger pull poundage. I also think the results feel better than I expected hence my initial worry. thanks for the input guys. in the worst case scenario do you think a factory sear, ejector, and striker safety lever direct from springfield would cost a lot of money?

Instead of buying all new stock parts, you might as well get a nice PRP trigger job IMO. That way you'll get less take-up, lighter pull, and no overtravel which is more than what you would have gotten from just polishing the metal parts correctly and definitely more than putting back in stock parts. Yu'll get everything you wanted from just "polishing" the sear, etc. and more. I'd highly recommend that direction since you obviously want your trigger pull to be different than stock. IMO can't go wrong with a nice trigger job, changes the way the whole gun shoots IMO, makes it much easier to stay on target and also faster with follow-up shots.
