Slide problem

Shot about 200 rounds threw the xd9. 2 times, when the clip was empty the slide did not stay open. Gun store said they never heard of that happening. The gun has only had 450 or so rounds through it. Thought maybe someone might have an idea. The gun was clean when we started today. Hope this isnt a sign of things to come, because on the way home from the range i picked up another xd9 for myself, the one we are having issues with is the wifes, i have a xd40 tactical. Over 1000 rounds through mine never any problem

put a magazine in the gun and try it.

before blaming the gun, make sure that you aren't holding the slide lock down with your thumb.
