DIY Barrel Polishing Help

So I have been doing some research on polishing my barrel, however, i have a few questions. i am trying to match the solid guide rod i put in. i have noticed that there are at least 3 or 4 common ways of polishing the barrels and i wondered what are the recomendations from people that have done it a time or 10...

other questions i have is does vineger harm the inside of the barrel?

it seemed to me that time, patience, and a rotor tool with a buffer bit and some plitz is the best option.

i am a newb and this will be my first self mod along with a little white crayola. probably am going to get into it when i get sufficient info to feel confident enough to begin.

the offical everything to do with polishing thread

A quick search for polish will show many threads. Use the search function and when you type in polish click the box that searches titles only in the advanced search.
