XD40 Service- play on slide/frame
I notice that when pulling the trigger on my XD40, the slide will move downwards and snug up to the frame before the sear releases the striker.
If I hold the slide down while pulling the trigger, the sear release is noticeably crisper.
Is there any way to tighten the fit between the slide/frame on a polymer gun to remove this play?

If the play is excessive you should contact SA.
None of my 4 xd/xdms do that.

canyon creek custom has a slide tightening service. I would think most gunsmiths have the same capability.

i would advise contacting SA as well my XD9TAC And XD9SC do not do that.
You should try to get some pictures up of it with the striker released, and of the striker loaded.

Mine has very little play but it doesn't tighten up like you describe. And if it does I can't tell.

It definitely seems like a call to SA is in order here, that is not normal.
