A lighter spring is ok, but only recommended for lighter load ammo.
they loosen up some. so me advice is if you have to have one, try it. Keep in mind that a lighter spring is more stress on gun internals and frame.
with the Wolf solid guide rods, you can get a 3 spring set. I use a 19# in mine.
