Xd40 dcoa
I have been searching for a while now (with no luck) on a video or manual on how to DCOA my XD40. I'm getting close to the 500rd mark when I usually do it, but since I'm new(er) to semi-auto pistols, I want a little guidance on it. Any info on where to find this would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Just what I was looking for. I also realized there was a sticky with good videos that I must have overlooked. Thanks!

No idea what DCOA means!
Might help if you were clearer on what you want to do.

Don (dglock), DCOA stands for Disassemble, Clean, Oil, Assemble. Essentially completely stripping all all of the parts, not just a field strip. I intentionally tried to keep it more vague in order to keep the less experienced posts away, and focus on those who are proficient in doing this correctly. I guess I looked over the fact that there may be people just as experienced who just don't know the acronym. My apologies.

I'd advise not removing the mag catch. that pin is a pain in the butt to get back in. Other than that it's all very easy. There are more detailed videos on youtube of removing the locking block, trigger bar, sear, safety lever, ejector, etc. Removing the firing pin is very simple too. You just push in on the indicator bushing and slide the rear plate down.
