Sounds like maybe the trigger is not resetting on the last round. You may need to test reset and if it is not resetting correctly then you probably need to remove a couple thousandths off the little triangular piece of the striker safety lever. Check out this video. It is very good

Smoker03 You are a fuggin genius! I honestly did that today and it works. I just checked the forum and you told me what to do a little too late but you are exactly right. I wish someone told me these weeks ago but I am sooooo damn happy to have it working now. Actually Daniel from Powder River Precision emailed me the same link to that video and told me what to do. I don't know how you knew that but you're smart as hell Smoker. Thanks again

Dp thats what I was trying to say. Sand a little more off on the sear ( I actually mean striker safety lever) smoker corrected me thanks!! Because you wrote that you had to depress it a couple times on the grip safety. When I installed on my XDM I didn't have to take any of that off. On the XD however I had to sand the triangular part of the striker safety lever.
Well I'm glad it worked out for you. The reset is the key to make sure it's working. You press the trigger in and hold it. Then press down on the trigger bar and make sure it goes down and stay. Then when you release the trigger that part should pop right up. Sorry for the late response. I hope you didn't sand too much off the trigger overtravel.

He didnt need to remove material from the sear to get it to reset. He removed a couple thousandths off the little triangular piece of the striker safety lever

My mistake I always get those two parts mixed up. Yes the striker safety lever. I feel like dumb ass now.

I'm by far no expert, just done it quite a few times. Don't feel dumb, this is a place were we can all learn. Just wanted to make sure in the future that if someone checks out the thread, they have the correct info

I did examine the sear when you said that before G-Weezy but couldn't really figure out what directly affected that trigger pull. Both you guys are my life savers. I am just ecstatic to have it doing what it's supposed to be doing. On the other hand I haven't made it to the range yet to double check the modification but I am confident everything will be ok. Thanks again both of you G-Weezy and Smoker03. You guys ROCK!!! I am so glad I am a member of this Forum. Is it acceptable to ask questions about my Para Ordnance 1911, Smith n Wesson SD9, or Taurus Tracker 22lr as well? I know it's an XD site but thought everyone would be well rounded with multiple platforms.

Thanks, but we are all here to help. Glad you got it working.
I'm pretty sure you can in the "other firearm section". There's a 1911 section as well. Also 1911 forums is a good place to go.
