FTF after Springer Trigger Kit

Hey guys, wanted to run something by you all and see if you have any input... I recently installed the Springer Precision Trigger Kit in my XD-9. I am a Glock Armorer but this was my first project with my (formerly) trusty XD-9. I thought I had it all fitted pretty well, trigger felt great with snap caps, but at the range today I put about 50 rounds or so through it, with about a 50% failure to fire. The failed rounds all had indentations in the primers, but they were pretty light. My wife was firing the same ammo out of her PX4, and had no failures at all. Any ideas as to what would cause a light strike? I have a Canyon Creek Spring Kit, so my other option would be to put in the heavier striker spring, but it seems like that would be more of a sidestepping of the issue than a resolution... Any ideas would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

Sounds like you need to remove a bit more off of the overtravel.
A good way to check this is to remove the striker lock plate, use a punch to push on the striker while you pull the trigger. The striker should go forward without hitting the striker safety if it does you need to remove a bit more metal off of the overtravel.

Do you oil the striker channel? If so, spray it out with some gunscrubber or brake cleaner.

Agalindo -- Thanks for the suggestion, will do! I'll repost when I can try it out again.

GT Jon -- No, generally I do not oil the striker channels, but I did put a light coat on this time... So there should be absolutely NO lubrication in the channel or on the pin? I'll remove it before I take it out again.

Thanks guys!

Correct, no lubrication in the striker channel.
