Question Gunkote overspray?
I just purchased an XD9 that the previous guy had gunkoted (looks pretty sharp, too ). But there is overspray on the inside of the slide. I'm wondering if that will be a problem and if I should take the time and effort to remove it before firing? Anyone have experience with this issue?

It won't be an issue. I molyresin coated my slide in and out.

A proper coat would include both inside and out so you should be fine.
