I discovered the ultimate gun lube!
It's a product called Castrol GTX 10W30...  Used it on the Mosin and that bolt FLIES. Glides like it's on air. My Marlin is smooth as glass now too.

I've read many a thread on a few forums about using that kind of stuff.
Some guys seem to love it...
Because of my own issues, I can't do it..
Perhaps I have a horrible motor oil related memory from my childhood I'm blocking out...

I lube all my guns with oil now. Wife doesn't care much for it, but that's what douches are for.

Synthetics are far superior to organics. I use Mobil 1, 15w50. I don't believe that the synthetics are as carcinogenic as organics, either.
