I use Firepower-10 from MPC products; its also sold under the Shooter's Choice brand as FP-10. Great stuff.

Not to sound like a compleate novice, even though I am. But exactly where and how do you guys lube your XD's at? All I have ever done is clean and wipe down with a rem-oil rag. Also, I am assuming that lubing would be better? Cleaning is good, but cleaning AND lubing is even better?

slide rails is all you should be lubricating. i personally use farm rated bearing grease. smells like a sewer though.

I use Breakfree CLP for rust prevention and cleaning. High temp bearing grease on the slide rails and barrel (very lightly). Works great, but it does stink up the room when I open the $3 tub of bearing grease.
