I clean mine after everytime I shoot if it be one round of 1k rounds, today shot only 62 rounds and i did a full break down clean. Blazer Brass was shot out of it and from only 62 rounds you would be suprised how dirty it gets.

I clean after every 2-3 range trips so about 250 rounds then clean it.

I clean after every trip to the range. It takes about 15-20 minutes and I find it relaxing.
I field strip everything, clean and oil.
After cleaning a rifle, my 9MM's are a pleasure!
Treat your weapons well and they will last a lot longer and in turn they will treat you well. I look at it like changing the oil in a car and routine maintenance....a little bit goes a LONG way!

Question for you guys who clean your handguns after every session even if you only fire one shot:

Do you strip and clean the magazines too?

I clean after every use. I clean every month if they have not been used.
I wipe my mags down and clean the feed lips and top after every use. I disassemble and clean my mags about every 2 months.
I do this with both my pistols and rifles.

That's one trip to the range for me... I clean mine after I get home. wait 'til th ol' lady is asleep though. she gets jealous! I rub my gun more than her lately! LOL! The toture test I read somewhere in guns and ammo web site was 20,000 rounds. Frozen, burried in mud and sand, run over with a truck and various other tortures I would never do to my baby. The only problem he had was the cocked indicator broke off. probably due to the drop tests he did. Sand slowed the slide down but it kept firing! Never had one failure!! he still keeps the gun in his night stand as home security! These guns are by far superior than Glocks! Sorry, but true....
