Hmmm you probably can, I have never tried it. they do have durabake, but only in a limited amount of colors.

Let us know if it actually lasts.
I've been doing coatings for customers for years, unfortunately polymer guns are coated with a silicone/teflon mix at the factory. They do this to make removing the frame from the mold east (think Pam cooking spray). It does NOT come off with simple degreaser, several other steps & tricks are needed.
Duracoat unfortunately becomes suseptible to holster wear.
It looks really good, you did a great job. I really hope it lasts. You really need to leave it alone for about 3 weeks if you live in a humid climate. Or keep it heated with a hair drier, or during the summer I would put them on the dashboard of the cars windshield where it gets really hot. Just not hot enough to melt.
Enjoy!

If you do, you will have to sand blast it before coating (aluminum oxide 110 grain).
And I would not use DuraCoat, especially on metal. Try Moly Resin or CeraKote, they are far more durable and will last a LOT longer!

I'm way late to the game on this thread but...
Vash, your write up, photos, and actual work were excellent and inspiring. I think I'll test my skills on my Saiga .223 before my sweet new XD, though.
I appreciate the time you took with this.
