Polished up!

Finally got my home polish and detail job finished. Thanks to Zetsumei and XD Talk for pointing me in the right direction. The XD is SO easy to strip down. I'm very pleased with the way it turned out. The pics don't do it justice.

Don't you love how well they polish up?
My camera is crap.
I used 600 wet/dry, Dremel tool, and RYOBI polishing componds from Homer Depot. Then finished it off with Fine hand polish for automobile paint.

hey i just started a thread to consolidate all the barrel polishing info on xdtalk
the offical everything to do with polishing thread

if you could post your pics and some info on how you did it on that thread im sure everyone in the forum would be thankful.

all the polishing threads are all over the place so i wanted to have a thread where we can put all that info so when someone is thinking about doing it they can read and get advice from everyone that has done it

How do you guys recommend cleaning up the engravings? Polished barrel/chamber and the engravings are still black-ish.

Edit: Shoot, I was trying to put this in the other polishing thread, had the wrong tab. Sorry for the late bump
