A new XD Owner!

Just wanted to introduce myself and say I stumbled onto your forums here a few weeks ago. I did my homework and had it narrowed down between a Glock21 and the XD45 Service. I went with the XD and am in love. I put 150 rounds through it the day I bought it and it functioned flawless. I'm going out today to shoot it for the 2nd time. You guys have one of the biggest and best forums anywhere on the internet and I'm glad I found it and hope to contribute where I can. Maybe you guys could get me started by answering a question. So far the only thing I've really upgraded if you want to call it that is a slip on hogue grip. Is there anything else that is a must have with this pistol? I plan on probably doing either Tritium night sights or a lazer since this is my primary home defense weapon. Thanks for your time and info!

Sorry the pic is kind of blurry, my wife had the better camera with her so I had to take it with an old beater of a camera!

Congrats on the new pistol. I've loved my XD40 since the first time I put my finger on the trigger. Have fun and post your groupings.

Welcome to the forum, and that's a good lookin XD 45!.
One upgrade i'd recomend, would be the Powder River safety lever & overtravel stop. It made a pretty good difference with the trigger on my 45c.

Welcome to the forum from Milton,FL. Great choice of firearms.I have TFOs on my XD45C and Trijicons on my XD40SC I like them both. I will be having trigger work done on both shortly. The XD is fine the way it is but us guys and gals on this forum just can't leave them alone to long before we go doing one thing or another to them. Have fun and be careful.
