shortening the grip

Has anyone ever chopped the grip of a XD45 service to make it the size of a compact?

This has been discussed a lot. You can run a search for "grip chop" and find lots of posts. Several on the forum have done it, and I know the Springer Precision (and maybe others) can do the grip chop (think it's around $75 last time I checked).

Let your gun therefore be the constant companion of your walks.

I didn't see that in his website. How much did it cost you to have it done? Thanks.

I shipped it to him, and paid $110. That was $75 for the work, and $35 to return ship. The price might have changed, but not by much, I'm sure.

He had it back to me on the exact day he said he would.
