Springer Precision Trigger Upgrade kit for XD45

Does anyone have the Springer Precision Trigger upgrade kit installed on their XD45?? I shot my XD45 this past weekend for the first time and the only thing I disliked was the trigger pull on it.

I ran across this kit while looking for upgrades and was wondering if it is any good. Any feedback would be great.

Thanks in advance.

I wanted to send my pistol to Springer for a trigger job. Would I be paying them just to install parts that I could do myself or do they do some additional polishing and fitting that is beyond the average XD owner?

I did the install myself. While I am mechanically skilled, the job is simple. Just using a punch and hammer to knock out some pins, swapping parts, and reassembling. Videos found on this forum made it quite simple.

Springer would fit the trigger bar to your pistol, which would save you some time spent as a craftsman, but it's still a very easy install.

It's a good chance to get intimately familiar with your pistol...

+1 on the have it and love it.

I did the install with minimal fuss.

I also removed my striker, and polished the face where it contacts the sear. For greater reduction in the pull distance, I also removed a bit from the bottom of the striker. The stock part is almost twice as deep as it needs to be to hold itself back. I just slowly removed material, reassembling it often to see progress. As soon as the first hint of pull showed me the lower edge of the sear under the striker, I was done.

I did not do the trigger bar, as the reset isn't as important to me as the pull.

Parts we use in the shop are not the same ones sold in the kit. We can do more in house, than in a kit because we have to make other modifications.

Scott, you did an outstanding job on my XD. Guys, give Springer Precision a good look.

I love my XD with the kit.

This is from this morning. 15 yards, shooting from a low ready to a flash sight picture. Two mags downrange. I could not have done this with a stock trigger. 203 total rounds put through the pistol today.
