glock convert...xd pix

i've been a glock fan for several years, but recently got the .45 acp bug. the 21sf didn't fit my hand so i reluctantly bought a xd 45 service. that led to a xd 45c. after some problems with casting/reloading swc's, i bought a 200gr RFN mould and here are the results. 6 slow fired rounds and 2 quick rounds at 30'. no FTF..etc with the 200gr RFN bullets. now i am a xd addict.

I'd rather have my XD and not need it, then need it and not have it....

I had the same "problem" The Glock 21 was to big for my hand. I shot friends XD .40 but did not like the full duty sized grip.

When I got back from a deployment a little over a year ago I held an XD .45 compact in a gun store and ended up walking out with it.

It's about the same size as my Glock 23 but it's in my favorite caliber....45ACP.

I still carry a G27 quite frequently when it is hot out, but the XD does get it's fair share of time on my belt.

You will be happy with your purchase.

The XD actually will feed and fire SWC bullets. It is the ejection that causes problems. the rim of the fired case tends to trip on the step like edge of the next round in the magazine during ejection. Mine is no different, BUT, it gobbles up everything else I have put through it. I tried the big Glock .45 but it felt like a 2x4 in my not too large hands.

Sounds like a common situation. Love my G23 and G27 and really wanted to like the G30sf but could not see buying a gun that I couldn't reach the trigger. Had nice 1911s in the past and got tired of clearing jams. I am now a XD45c convert. Perfect grip, hi-cap, good accuracy, whats not to like. Enjoy

Hey evisr8, how do feel about the differences in the take down procedure between the XD and Glock?

Just wondering.

Great shot of the XD.
