Xd 45

Hi everyone. I want to say that I am a proud owner of a xd 45 acp. I live in California and I just found out about this Forum. This is a great community of xd owners im glad to be one. I just picked my xd 45 with 4 inch barrel earlier this week. I cant wait for the weekend. Im anxious to get to the range and put some rounds in it. Im a newbie and this is my first pistol and of coarse with everything I purchase I did my research. I heard nothing but positive things about the xd-45. And thats why I spent my $ on one.

I do have a question what is the difference between the xd -45acp than the xd 45 service? I know this may sound stupid but like I said Im a newbie.

welcome,

its the XD45 Compact and the XD45 Service. the compact has a shorter grip with 10 rnd mag and an extended 13 rnd mag with the xtension grip on the mag. the service just has the 13rnd mags. so with the compact you get a smaller 45 thats easier to conceal.

It didn't come with 13 round mags, as the OP is from California.

Welcome and congrats on your purchase.

XD45 (some people omit the 'Service) has a full size grip and a 4" barrel.

XD45 Tactical has a full size grip and a 5" barrel
