New Sights

Just got some new trijicon sights put on my XD45c yesterday at H&H Gun Range here in OKC. It was interesting to find out when I picked my gun up that they broke not one, not two but three tools trying to get off my front sight. I'm so glad that I didn't attempt this myself. But I really do enjoy the new sights. I can't wait to try them out.

Glad they didn't scratch up your slide. This is why I tell everyone not to try it themselves and to NOT let your local gunsmith change the sights on an XD unless they have lots of experience with XDs. There is a learning curve, even for gunsmiths, for removing XD sights, they are extremely tight.

All's well that ends well

I replaced my front sight myself, and mushroomed the heads of two punches really bad. I was hitting far harder than I ever imagined would be necessary. Then to put the new sight in was tap-tap-tap. I have no clue why the folks in Croatia press them in so hard. I guess it's better then not hard enough...

But it's done, and no scratches...
