the first things i bought for my XD45c were a pearce grip extension and an extra 13 round mag w/sleeve. got both from pistolgear.com

the next thing to get are some XS 24/7 big dot night sights....

the guns is a beauty....and has become my primary choice for concealed carry.

with the 13rd mag it really does seem like 2-guns in one, and i am at times tempted to just go with the 13rd'rs....LOVE THE CHOICES.

now im just thinking of getting the right holster, so far the comp-tac paddle is the front runner. may one day down the line go IWB from comp-tac or the KD defender.

I have an XD9 service right now and I love it! Definitely a CC option. But then again I'm thinking about getting a xd 45c as well for CC. I'd definitely take the XD 45c over the Glock 30 any day because its smaller and cheaper, but has the same capacity and reliability. Glock 21 is just too big for CC in my opinion.

I'm either going to get a Don Hume OT holster, or a UBG pancake holster, like i have for my 1911.

I really think the Tucker pancake holster would be excelent, but the 7 month wait would be a killer.

I didn't get a chance to shoot my pistol today....maybe tomorrow!

Thanks

+1. I considered the compact but figured I'd mostly be using the extension anyway.

I received the Powder River safety lever & new over travle stop for my 45c today & installed it. I did have a few problems... called Daniel up and he help me right thru it.
I am very pleased with the trigger now - hardly any take up, no over travel, and very little reset.
Thanks Daniel!

Any chance of you posting pics of your XD with the XS 24/7 big dot night sights? I still want to get the Heinie Straight 8s slant pro night sights.

I have the XS sights on my 45C and they are great for quick acquisition of target in a pressure/combat situation. Not the best for target shooting though. IMHO the 3 dots sights are more precise for target.
After I shoot my 3 dot guns the XS takes a little getting used to. Initially I shoot low on my first few shots. You'll grow to love 'em. At least I did ... these old eyes need all the help they can get. (Big Dot eyeballs)
I have Brommeland Max Con V IWB and Kramer OWB holsters for my 45C. The Brommeland is one of the nicest and most comfortable holsters available. There are lots of other good holsters out there. The problem is the wait. Anywhere from 4 to 12 months in some cases.
