In Cali (not the most gun-friendly state in the union), I paid $509 + tax for an XD45 compact. My son paid $570 for an XD45 service, but he didn't shop around- he figured at 10 mpg in his pickup, he'd burn through more gas than it as worth driving around.

I saw the XD45 compact at Cabelas in Buda, Texas in December for $510 on sale.

Bradis Guns here in Indiana, just southwest from Indianapolis is the cheapest local gun store. Here is a link to their website.

BRADIS

I didn't know of this place when I purchased my XD, but I did buy a Bersa Thunder 9mm from them for $326, just a couple months ago for my wife.

Very reasonable guys to deal with. Will definately buy from them again.

Very true that is why I started reloading. I calculate my last 1000 rounds of .45 handloads to have cost me $165 reusing my brass that I picked up at the range, and my 9mm cost me $99 for a 1000 rounds.

Don't tell me that!!!!!

DAM. Well, it's what I get for not looking around on the WWW and trusting the local dealer. But I got mine right now. Still the HD (hundred dollars) would have bought some more ammo.

Oh well.

$ 560.00 w/good night sights installed, including tax is a good price.

SUPPORT LOCAL SMALL GUY. You gave all the argument you need right there. If you want to see these guy stick around they need your help. What's 5% more if your getting expert and good service? I'll tell ya what you keep supporting that guy and he'll probably start to give you a better an even deal. Bottom line, If you don't support these good guys they won't be around next time and you'll be stuck with some discount priced sales guy that can't tell you what you need.

Ok I'm off my soap box now(Yes I work for a small customer service based retail business)

If you are military or LE contact Springfield for their discount program. It's better than a lot of other prices quoted.
