I have an XD 45 Compact Tactical and I find that it is easier to conceal than my old Glock 26 subcompact 9mm. I carry it in a Milt Sparks Versa Max II holster. Also, I am much more accurate / better with the XD 45 than I ever was with the Glock 26. Finally there is the issue of the one cal vs. the other. (I am not trying to open a can of worms here). Go to your favorite gun shop and compare a 115 grain 9 mm hollow point to a 230 grain .45 ACP hollow point. If my life is on the line, I would rather be firing bigger bullets with more accuracy at the bad guy.

check out the crossbreed supertuck i've yet to hear anyone complain about it unless it was becouse they didnt buy the one that had the backing cut to allow a better grip when drawing their gun..but even in those cases a few cuts later with a box cutter or something similar they were good to go. the only other holster i want at this point is expensive the versa max 2 from milt sparks.

Is it my imagination, or is the frame actually thinner (narrower) on the .45 than it is on the 9mm?!

I have an XD9 SC and XD40 Service. I carry the 9 in a Cross Breed Supertuck and hardly notice it. At 6'1 160lbs the XD40 is a little too much for me to conceal comfortably.

I had a .45 service but now just have the 9sc. Carry daily in Crossbreed Quickclip. While the .45 was concealable, the 9sc is more so, and there is a difference in weight as well. With HST 147gr JHP's I am confident if needed I will be able to give the BG a bad day.
