Actually it doesn't make any difference what manufacturer's guns we are talking about. The .357 SIG, 40 S&W and .45 GAP all suffer from the same problem, they were designed as a way to put more punch into a 9mm sized firearm. The only problem is when they are all larger diameter cases which means you give up the capacity of the 9mm and, as for the .45GAP, actually have less magazine capacity than some single stack .45acp mags.

If you take any of those rounds and put them into magazines designed for a larger diameter cartridge yet with the same length as the 9mm mag you end up with a very interesting new ballgame. How about an XDSC in 45GAP with the same, or larger, mag capacity as the XD45C? How about that for concealability and firepower?

I seriously considered getting a XD in .45GAP but the gunshop that had the gun did not even sell a fmj plinking round for it. When I asked the guy at the shop his opinion about the GAP he definitely steered me away from it. I ended up with a XD .40 anyway so I guess it does not matter

45 GAP tactical

I agree, I like a mag that holds a "box" of ammo, but--- some of us "older" wheelgun men, still carry a 5 shot J frame more than the auto!
What do they say about a gun fight usually last 3 shots, in 3 seconds, under 3 yards ??? You can't miss fast enough-- to win a gunfight.
Fast is fine, but accuracy is final.
