My source is Tom Gresham. Who clearly appears to have more knowledge regarding the new XD-M than anybody else I've seen here.

A .45 ACP and 9mm ARE in the works, and will almost certainly be the next two calibers offered.

I don't predict a .357 SIG right away, if at all. The odds of getting a 10mm aren't good, and you can forget about a .45 GAP.

Well I for one love there overrated guns, and so do most gun owners with the means.

MANY SIG's are still manufactured at the Sauer & Sohn factory in Germany.

In general, HK's have poor ergonomics and their triggers tend to suck. Some of them, like the MK23, are outright "bricks" in terms of their size and weight. The MK23 is being gradually replaced as a U.S. special forces weapon because of its excessive size.

I think HK's are definitely overrated and overpriced, and I can afford to buy several of them today if I wanted.

All brands of pistols have their fanboys who think "Gee whiz, my pistol is the best one in the whole wide world." HK is no better in quality and performance than other elite brands such as XD, SIG, Walther, CZ etc.

We're talking about HANDGUNS in this thread, big guy. NONE of your links deal specifically with HK handguns available to the civilian sector, thus they are irrelevant to the topic at hand.

Oh, by the way. The largest and most successful small arms manufacturer in the world is none other than FN Herstal, which provides 70% of the small arms used by the U.S. Military.

Based on the number of contracts and weapons provided to various government, military and police entities around the world---FN Herstal blows HK away.

As I previously stated, HK HANDGUNS are overrated and overpriced---and your videos do nothing to disprove my statement.

I don't know when. I assume that 9mm should be pretty easy -- same frame, etc.

The .45, though, may be a whole different thing. I'm betting they will do a .45, but if it requires a different frame, it could take some time. Springfield kept the XDm pretty quiet, and they are not letting out details of future developments.

Just to be clear . . . I'm pretty sure the 9mm will be next. I don't know when. I'm guessing it will be this year.

The .45 would appear to be logical, but I wouldn't be looking for it anytime soon. My guess is that they are going to sell all the .40's they can make. It looks different, I know, but it feels great. No kidding. When you shoot it, I think you'll like it.

Then again, SA has done some amazing production tricks in the past, so who knows when other calibers will come out.

I'll ask 'em on the radio show this Sunday!
