ammo rattling in magazine..
i've started to notice a strange thing with both of my magazines.. where i load them up, and the rounds inside the magazine are loose and actually rattle around inside a loaded magazine.. and it always seems to be the 10-11-12th rounds that rattle.. i can tap the backside of the mag, and sometimes they will stop from rattling, but this is happening more frequently..
it does not seem to affect function.. only that the few rounds are loose in the mag.. should i just send the mags back to SA for exchanges?? or just not worry about it?? |

Happens to me sometimes when I get round number 16 into my 9 mm mags. I tap the mags and it sometimes stops. It's a little annoying, but it has never caused me any problems.

This is common and not a problem in general, especially if the rounds are still feeding OK. You can run a forum search, this has been discussed many times.

Funny...the same thing just happened to me for the first time last weekend. I took the magazine apart because I actually thought there was a small pebble inside there making the noise. Put it back together and poof......no more rattle......weird.

I have noticed that if you take the last round out, and put it back in, it should stop for a while.

a couple of my mags do it, a few don't. It happens, nothing to worry about.
