XD45 Tatical replaced under warranty

I just had my XD45 tactical replaced under warranty by Springfield. Once again their customer service has come through and they are the best in the business. I sent them 3 13 round magazines and it returned with 3 13 round mags and 3 10 round mags. They also changed all my accessories (extented mag release, magwell, sights) over to the new gun.

Wow, that's pretty cool.

What was wrong with the other one?

What was wrong with it that needed to be fixed?

...and, for warranty work, they threw in 3 free magazines?

problems

The gun would not feed Winchester SXT Ranger +P reliably. They also stated they have had a few problems in the 45's with that specific ammo and were doing testing with hi speed cameras.
It would stay out of battery just a hair so a strong rap on the bottom of the mag would allow the slide to go into battery. Springfield could not get it to function either with 13 rd. mags after hundreds of rounds but had zero malfunctions with 10 round mags.
There was also some strange galling on the rear frame rails that could not be explained.
So they sent me a brand new gun with some of each mags just in case. I am happy to report it has fired over 400 rds. of the Ranger +P without a single malfunction.

I'm not surprised by SA standing behind their product and sending you a new gun with bonus mags.

What I'm really impressed with, is that you have 400+ rnds of Win Ranger +P to break in a new gun. Rangers have been difficult to find for the last few yrs and now that they are available again they are very pricey
