45 Tactical Barrel - Normal?
I'm new to the XDs, just picked up a Service 9 to replace a problematic S&W MP9, liked it so much I bought a 45 Tactical a week later. While cleaning the 45, I noticed a difference in the barrel (aside from the extra inch, of course). There is a seam or raised edge that runs around the outside of the barrel. Didn't notice this at first. The 9 Service doesn't have this. Is this normal for a 5" barrel? I expect it is, but thought I'd check here.
I'll be posting later on about why I made the switch and my experiences with the XDs so far. |

Ya, it is totally normal. All of the 5 inches have it.
