Haven't seen Ohio yet. You need take a class consisting of 10 hrs class time + 2 hrs range time. I've seen the classes cost anywhere from $100-$125. It cost $55 for the license and its good for 5 years. Once you turn in your $ and your application they have 45 days to issue your permit.

In Illinois...we aren't allowed to do anything.......especially CCW

How clean does your record have to be in other states? No felonies or no criminal history at all? I got in some trouble in high school about 6 years ago...a couple of misdemeanors

Here in Arizona I understand it's pretty easy. Take a class, submit finger prints and write a check...

However, I don't know from first hand experience...here in Arizona you don't need any kind of permit to open carry and everywhere I could take my weapon with me concealed I can also take it with me open so I haven't had any reason to go through the hassle of CCW.

As long as any part of the holster or gun is visible it's 100% legal and no permit is needed.

Conceal carry permits in your state ?

If you live in N.J. take the Utah CCW course like I did and get Utah and FL Non Resident permits. House is for Sale next move PA and I plan on getting a PA Permit as well.

ARIZONA RULES!

I took my class for free! they can run up to about 145 bucks depending on where you get yours. Mine was offered by a retired bomb-squad police guy and he was very knowledgeable and very cool. He does the class for fun and free!

Now we just have to mail in a renewal form and fresh fingerprint clearance card and I think it is $60 then they mail you out a new CCW card!

Simple.
