Doesn't that now make it about the same length as a full sized service, except for you can't hold as many rounds as a service?

I really like mine. My wife did too, so I ended up getting another one. One for me and one for my wife. But I still carry a 1911 when weather permits.

Went to a gunshow today in hopes of picking up a XD-45c 4" in OD or dark earth....no such luck! Didn't even see a pain jane black one...I hate having cash in my pocket with no gun to be found
Oh well, I'll just have to keep checking the local shops- I did pick up the XD 3 mag & holster kit for $45 for my XD-40sc so not all was lost.

I have the 4 inch compact as well, all black...really wanted the bi-tone but it wasn't out yet...I got the compact thinking it would be the way to go in case I wanted to carry it, turns out to be more gun than I'm comfortable with....a flawless Kahr PM9 solved that problem nicely...since my XD is the nightstand queen, I've been wondering if I should have gotten the full size one...would love to shoot one sometime...
regardless, I think it's probably the best value out there in the gun world....i sleep very well with 14 rds of .45 beside me... take a look at the tru-glo TFO's, i think it's the one must have accessory for the gun...love mine.. enjoy
