same prob on new gun
I bought my gun and had the same problem with one mag. I think it was the one on display and too many people handled it incorrectly and it didn't drop out when released. I took it back to the store and they replaced it, the new one drops like a champ. The bad one was dented at the top and that's where it caught.

AAARRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
The story isn't over. The new mags dropped out real well when I tried them before I went to shoot Steel Challenge tuesday night. The problem is they also dropped out after the first round I test fired..... Yes, all three magazines. Thanksfully, I still had the original 3 and was able to use them and reload after each stage as necessary...I looked at the paperwork and it looks like they repaired, not replaced them...... Back to the phone to call them. My patience is wearing thin. Joe

Joe,
this is a pretty common problem with the XD-45's and is probably going to keep happening to you, no matter how may times you send those magazines back. Replacement mags will most likely do the same thing. Try bending the upper back edge of the magazines back into place yourself with a needlenose pliers. Don't use a lot of force, just sort of "tweak" it back into place. |

I think I'll try this, however, let me be sure I've got it right. Disassemble the mag, and bend the upper back edge out with a flat pliers. right?

Joe,
No need to disassemble the mags. Just use the tip of the pliers on the upper back edge. |
