Proud new owner
Hey guys, I own a few rifles but I've been researching handguns for a few months, and thanks to word-of-mouth and these forums I decided on the XD service model. This is my first real handgun, (.22 doesn't count) and I couldn't be happier with it. Shot a hundred rounds at the range without a hitch, not that I expected one. Thanks again for the great information you guys have here. I'm sure I'll be posting more often once I decide to put my CCW to use.

I got my new XD 45 compact last week. Unfortunatly cicumstances have prevented me from getting to the range. Can't wait. Maybe tommorow!

You have made a good decision. The 4" service model was perfect for my CCW needs (also 14 rounds of 45acp didn't hurt either) I hope you enjoy your new pistol as much as I do mine. Welcome to the forum.
