The method posted by agalindo worked great!
After I installed the PRP safety lever, I removed the striker locking plate, striker spring guide, striker status indicator and striker spring from the slide. I inserted a wooden dowel and pushed on the striker. I marked the dowel to show how far in it goes when the striker hits the striker safety. I also marked it when it goes all the way in and not hit the striker safety. I put the slide back on the frame and pushed on the striker with the gun cocked. I slowly pulled the trigger while keeping pressure on the dowel. Once the sear released the striker, the dowel went all the way in... to my second mark. I repeatedly pushed and released pressure on the dowel to sort of bounce it back and forth. I had to release the trigger a good amount before I could feel the striker hitting the striker safety. This tells me that the PRP safety lever pushed the striker safety clear out of the way before the sear released the striker. That's a good thing!
I have pics if anyone wants to see how I did this.
