XD45 holster

Can anyone recommend a nice functional holster for a XD45 4in? I recently purchased a Gould&Goodrich pancake holster (B803) for my XD9. Well made-nicely priced but not available for my XD45. I'm searching for a similar holster for my 45 but have not had any luck finding one. Any suggestions?

The XD45 fits in most XD9/40 holsters the frame is not that much larger. Have you tried it in your XD9 holster. Holster are a very personal item an there are many good holsters available. Without knowing if you want a conceal carry holster or a duty holster it's hard to recommend one.

XD45 holster

Yes I have tried my 45 in my G&G holster and although it is close, it doesn't quite fit. The strap across the top is about 1/8in. from allowing it to snap shut. I am looking for a conceal-carry holster preferrably in this style, but I'm open for any suggestions.

Blackhawk serpa cqc. Look at the small release 'tab' on the side, gun will not come out until you depress it, and your shooting finger is then registered on the side of the slide as it is withdrawn. I put the paddle on it and carried it for a week of tough hiking/ climbing while elk hunting with a pack on my back and waist belt, and it was absolutely comfortable. I'd highly recommend it. $39.90 + shipping from pistolgear.com, and XDtalk sponsor. While you're on the web site, pick up some other goodies too.

For OWB, Don Hume, either of these. The 45 and 40 use the same holster.

I wouldn't recommend the Serpa Holsters. I have some friends who are instructors at Gunsite. They have had several failures with this particular holster. Once the holsters get a little dusty or dirty, they have a tendency to lock up and you cannot remove the weapon. They have also told me that the mounting brackets have a tendency to break with hard use. Just something to think about.

I personally use Rusty Sherrick Holsters. A little more expensive, but very high quality and very, very durable.

These particular holsters are used by some Government and State Agencies.
