Regarding the use of ChoreBoy for cleaning barrels...you might want to give this a read:
Is YOUR China Copper mixed with IRON! - TheFiringLine Forums I think I will stick to what was designed for barrel lead removal, i.e., the Lewis Lead Remover. Considering only the brass patches have to be periodically replaced, it is a small investment and perfectly safe to use.
