You could fit a mini MP3 player into the blocked off section and make it useful. Maybe a Pez dispenser? Thumb drive?

Any chance of posting pics of your XD with the XS big dots? It would be good to see.

I put big dots on my 40sc. I have not had them on there long, but so far I like them. It definately is a quicker targeting site.

Chapie,

With my RAZR camera, it would look pretty blurry close up. They look just like in the brochure, or here on cabelas.com. Cabelas reduced their price $10 to $109.99 I noticed.

XD .45 Compact Owner

I think you are going to be quite happy if you go ahead and get a Compact. I've got about 800 rounds through mine so far and I have only had two failure to feeds (both with cheap-ass Winchester White box). Other than those, the gun has performed flawlessly with all other cheap 230gr. hardnose target ammo , and also with the +P loads I use for carry.

The only issue I have is with 230gr. ammo and the 13 round magazine...no way ,no how can I get any more than 12 rounds in,even with the XD Gear loader. However there is no problem with 200gr. ammo

Anyone else notice this?

I think you'll learn to love the XD45 Compact as a carry gun. Lord knows I do. Mine has pretty much displaced the rest of my carry guns as my daily choice. Since a two tone was not available when I bought mine, I sent it off to undergo a color change. While the slide was being 'changed' I had a set of TruGlo TFO's added and couldn't be happier with the results. Hope you like yours and forgive me for my need to showoff mine.

seems to me there would be a way to fix that plug . . .

If You can figure out how to replace/fix/remove the plugged part, I'd swap you a short 10 round for the longer one. Has a Pearce grip ext attached.

I have a XD-45 compact Tactical that I only shoot at the range.
