Welcome. I stayed away from semi-autos for many years. I could never find one that recoiled comfortably. Then about a year ago a buddy I worked with showed me his new XD 45 Tactical model and it pointed naturally and was real comfotable to shoot. Now I have a 45 Tactical, 45 Service and a 40 S/W subcompact. They are great fun to shoot.
